December's best read.

The Search for WondLa by Tony diTerlizzi is a brilliant novel to snuggle up to this Christmas. With a beautiful prose and breathtaking illustrations diTerlizzi gives us a ticket into an amazing, dangerous world, a world called .... Orbona.
As well as the reader, the main character, Eva Nine,  is frightened when she confronts the monsters that surround outside her Sanctuary, and that we find later our comfort-zone. We follow her from the thick and thin from living her sheltered life in the Sanctuary with MUTHR, a concerned mother-figure, who also happens to be a robot; to the adventures in which she accompanies Rovender, a pale blue creature and Otto, the adorable behemoth. On a quest to search for WondLa, we all learn about the strength of family and how far love stretches against distance and time. This modern classic by the bestselling diTerlizzi is enjoyable for children of all ages and indeed adults. All I can say about this fabulous novel is what more could you want?
